TEAM 11093 HILL COUNTRY CHRISTIAN SCHOOL OF AUSTIN

The MegaKnytes have been privileged to compete in the FIRST Tech Challenge Program for the past seven years. Since our first season in 2016, we have significantly grown our technical and team skills. Two seasons ago, we advanced to two State Championships - sponsored by TAPPS and FIRST- and won both! We also received top honors, winning the Spirit of TAPPS Award and the Design Award, respectively. We also set an in-person world record score at the FIRST State Championship. This past season, we set several State records that were beaten and won second place "Inspire" and third place "Control" awards, as well as winning alliance and finalist alliance. We plan to continue to improve during our next season; our goals include winning the Inspire Award, the highest individual award, and advancing to the FIRST World Championships.

Our involvement with FIRST has also made a lasting impact on those in our community and school. We help host an annual STEM Festival as well as a fifth-grade robotics club and last year shared STEM with roughly 250 elementary school students at both our school and Pleasant Hill Elementary. Several of our alumni have continued on to major in Computer Science or Engineering.
